The Gaimin founders dropped by recently for a cheeky Project Spotlight chat.

During a brilliant conversation, their marketing strategy and esports adventure leapt out as a shining success story for web3.

So we wanted to break it down a little…

In case you didn’t know, Gaimin’s DePin product enables the massive, growing demand for GPU power to be met by the underused computing muscle of gamers’ computers.

But here’s the thing…

How have they convinced the supposedly web3-cautious gaming community that their product is not only legit - but beneficial?

Here’s how:

• Esports Team Ownership: Gaimin became owners of an esports organization. Not sponsors. Owners of the Gaimin Galdiators. Then, they leveraged the team's success for brand visibility and engagement.

• Strategic Recruitment: They employed a "Moneyball" strategy for team building, leading to unprecedented success in esports competitions.

• Brand Exposure: They achieved billions of impressions, significantly increasing Gaimin's brand recognition within the gaming community.

• User Acquisition: The esports team's success became a springboard for user acquisition, driving downloads and active users of the Gaimin product.

• Community Engagement: A strong community around both the esports team and the Gaimin platform, enhanced loyalty and user retention. Gaimin FTW!

• Innovative Monetization: They also integrated blockchain technology for true ownership of in-game assets and passive rewards for gamers, aligning with the interests of the gaming community.
